Lavender Uptown

Skyline iconography was designed and hand-drawn on paper by me, then vectorized using Adobe Illustrator. Uptown font was sourced from DaFont.

“I go to college in Charlotte. Uptown is the downtown area of Charlotte that students and residents love to flock to. This geotag represents the skyline and uptown buildings that the city is known for. It includes the TWC Hornets arena, the Bank of America building, the 400 South Tryon building, the Duke Energy Center, the Hearst Building, and the Bank of America Panthers Stadium”

Red Raleigh

Font designed and hand-drawn by me on paper, then vectorized using Adobe Illustrator.

“Raleigh is the capital of North Carolina; it is known for being the more artsy city of the Triangle, along with having the tallest buildings. The red color is a homage to NC State’s campus being housed in downtown Raleigh. The elongated letters are a reference to the few skyscrapers in downtown Raleigh”

Charlotte Cutout

Design inspired by the Sacramento Snapchat geofilter. Font sourced from DaFont. Building cutouts, background overlay, and font transparency all done using Adobe Illustrator.

“Charlotte, NC is meaningful to me because I go to college there. The city of Charlotte is known for being the home of the Hornets NBA team, which is what the color scheme of this geofilter is inspired by. The geofilter also represents the city and its’ well-known buildings”
