About Pooja

Pooja Pasupula is an actress and photojournalist based in Charlotte, NC. Her photo work has been published by CNN, Clture, The John Hopkins Newsletter, India Times, Blavity, Stencil Magazine, and Niner Times, among others. Her photo work has also been recognized by the College Media Association, The North Carolina College Media Association, NCSMA, and VSCO. 

Pooja is currently represented by KU Talent in the Southeastern market and is SAG-Eligibile. Previously, she worked as the Photo Editor for Niner Times from 2016-2020. She obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a triple major in Mathematics, Theatre, and Communications (Mass Media), along with a minor in Journalism, and magna cum laude honors. She also served as Co-Editor-in-Chief and Lead Photographer for the Panther Creek High School yearbook, The Prowler.

Pooja has over 10 years of experience in the photography industry, and started her work at the age of 14 with a fascination in bending light and color to tell a story. All of her artistic endeavors, studies, and work have been firmly rooted in storytelling and grasping a deeper understanding of the world (whether that is through numbers, news, the arts, or any other medium). She is driven by curiosity, exploration, a desire for expression, and a love for humanity. Currently she has found herself drawn to fantasy and the concepts of fate, destiny, prophecy, and divine timing.

When not on set or taking photos, Pooja can be found gazing at the skyline on a rooftop somewhere, sleeping on a flight to a new country, stuffing her face with various fruit, singing songs really off-key, loudly criticizing her favorite tv show characters, attempting to be the next Gordon Ramsey in the kitchen, head-banging at a concert, eating her way through a new city, navigating a new metro/subway system, memorizing proofs, or running through lines.
